Our leadership

Jamie Waller is a British entrepreneur, philanthropist and investor. He has worked in financial services since 1998 and previously built, managed and sold many businesses in the credit and debt space. Jamie led the acquisition of Arum in 2017.

Carlos is a financial services executive with over 30 years’ experience in credit, collections, and recoveries. As Arum's Group Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for leading teams that help major UK and international organisations improve debt resolution through data intelligence, technology, and fair customer outcomes. Previously, Carlos held senior roles at TDX Group, Capital One, and NatWest, where he drove large-scale transformation, digital innovation, and operational excellence. Known for his strategic leadership and industry expertise, Carlos is dedicated to advancing responsible, efficient, and customer-focused practices across the collections and recoveries sector.

Jason has been working for the largest collections and recoveries companies for over two decades, having served in management and director positions for Experian and TDX.

Simon is a seasoned finance leader with over 15 years of experience across the UK and APAC region. He has a strong track record in delivering strategic growth, leading transformational change, and enhancing financial performance. Simon specialises in M&A, cash flow optimisation, and financial governance, with a focus on aligning finance strategy to business goals and maximising long-term value.

Owen joined Arum in 2015 as a consultant and has progressed to being Arum’s Head of Delivery Services. He leads a team working across multiple geographies, industries and project types, from managed service offerings to support across collections strategy and system transformation programmes. Owen has 18 years’ experience in collections and recoveries and has worked with over 80 different clients across industry sectors and geographies.

Reuben has spent the past two decades helping clients in the financial services and collections and recoveries industry specialising in advisory, NPL investment and software as a service. His previous roles include senior positions at Barclays, Barclaycard, TDX Group, PRA Group, Cabot and Aryza. Reuben will lead Arum’s growth, helping collections and recoveries leaders across International geographies including Europe, US, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Ella has been working for the Arum Group since 2019 and heads up our Business Operations team. Her team supports the day-to-day operations of the business, and she works closely with our Executive team. Ella is also involved in the implementation and maintenance of the group’s accreditations, including ISO and B Corp.

Forid joined Arum in 2019 as a senior consultant and is now our Head of Advisory Services. He has over 25 years’ experience delivering transformational change and performance improvement in both small and complex organisations, across multiple industries and geographies. Forid draws upon the full range of Arum’s skills and capabilities to support organisations in improving every aspect of their collections and recoveries.

Matt has been with Arum since 2008, starting as a consultant and advancing to Senior Director in 2024. With over 16 years of experience in collections and recoveries technology and operations, Matt brings a wealth of expertise in leveraging data, technology, decision-making, communications, and AI, to drive clients' success. As a leader at Arum, he is committed to delivering exceptional consulting and services to clients, ensuring excellence across all areas of the business.

James has over 25 years’ experience building and scaling fast-growth technology and software businesses. He spent a decade in investment banking and fintech, holding senior roles at tier-one institutions including UBS and JP Morgan Chase.

James specialises in leading and scaling revenue organisations, delivering accelerated growth plans, and embedding operational excellence to create repeatable, predictable revenue. He has worked across small, mid-market, and enterprise organisations in fin-tech, mar-tech, and market research.

He brings extensive international scaling experience, having helped businesses expand into the US, APAC, South Africa, and across Europe through new office launches, strategic partnerships, and reseller programmes

Fran joined Arum in 2022, having spent 20 years working in the financial sector, holding senior roles in project implementation, supplier management, client delivery and consultancy services. She has previously worked at companies including Experian, Capital One and TDX. Having successfully led the Arum team which delivered a wide range of Debt Manager solutions, Fran has recently taken on the role of Global Head of Excellence. Taking responsibility for ensuring the building blocks of Arum’s success (our processes, systems, training and people) continue to enable our organisation and consultants to provide excellence in all we do, across geographies and clients.

Alex brings over 20 years of experience across financial services, software and utilities, including senior operational and finance roles at Pelican Business Services, JBW Group, Capita, and Lloyds Banking Group.
