Certification shows a product meets collections requirements for functionality and technology, and that the vendor's implementation approach is likely to meet clients' needs.
We assess each system against market requirements and our own standards, drawing on hundreds of product demos, vendor negotiations and system implementations. Vendors can choose an annual reassessment to show the system still meets the latest requirements.

arum approved System is a certification for collections technology. It covers the product, the technology behind it and the way the vendor implements it.
Buyers use it to shortlist. A certified technology has already passed an independent review, so much of the first-round diligence is done.
Vendors use it to prove capability. The review runs across 20 capability areas and usually produces an issues register. Certification follows only when that register is cleared.
Vendors pay for the assessment, not the result. Only systems that meet the standard are certified, and that's what keeps the mark worth carrying.
Reassessment is annual and optional. Vendors who take it can show the system still meets the latest market requirements.
